Abrasive Wheel Regulations

The Abrasive Wheel Regulations Course enables trainees to be able to identify the types of disc and tools appropriate to the Approved Code of Practice and their use and also, to be aware of the hazards if used incorrectly.

Upon completion of the course, operatives will have the theory knowledge in safety and setting up of an abrasive wheel and of the hazards if equipment or PPE are disregarded or used inappropriately.

Industrial Strimmers & Brush Cutters

The Industrial Strimmer and Brush Cutters Course will provide the Operative with safety awareness and relevant use of personal protective equipment, whilst using the strimmer and brush cutter.

Upon completion of this Course the Operative will have a sound knowledge of safe use of equipment; the importance of wearing PPE and awareness of hazards in the immediate working environment and also maintenance of equipment and storage of flammable liquids.

Chainsaw Crosscutting
& Maintenance

The Chainsaw Cross Cutting & Maintenance Course will provide the trainee with good knowledge of safety and understanding of how dangerous this equipment can be, if used incorrectly.

Operatives will carry out pre-start checks and be able to maintain the chainsaw and equipment and use practical skills of felling small diameter trees.

Note: Use of ropes and harness is not included in this course.
